Ongoing competitions :

Competition Title : AIBS IdeasShow Contest
    Competition Start Date: 2009-12-30
    Competition End Date: 2010-01-31
    Competition Description:

AIBS 2010 InnovativeBrains Competition- show off your ideas and win

Are you are an ideas person? Then what are you waiting for? Show them off and win some interesting prizes  in the AIBS IdeasShow Contest.

The AIBS is preparing for its 2010 InnovativeBrains Competition and is looking for a simple, intuitive and practical idea on which the competition will be anchored.

In formulating your ideas, think of these three key  questions: (1)What problem should the 2010 InnovativeBrains Competition tackle?  (2) What form should the competition take? (3) Should individuals or teams compete?

Then think of these related questions as well: Should contestants tackle an economic or social problem? Should the competition take an essay form, should participants build a model of something, should it be an innovative business concept that can make money whilst at the same time solving a social problem?  We can’t wait to see you show off your ideas.

Keep  in mind the goal of the InnovativeBrains Competition which is to help find innovative solutions to an important economic, environmental or social problem plaguing our country and continent.

Great to remember that the competition is aimed at students of Nigerian tertiary institutions and   that the 2009 edition of the   InnovativeBrains® Competition took the form of an Essay contest  and sought to tackle an educational problem with the topic:

“Transforming the teaching and learning of business skills in Nigerian tertiary schools for the benefit of students, lecturers, business and society-Using business simulations”.

Prizes for Winning Ideas

Senders of the three most interesting entries will receive one year AIBS free membership, 3 months free online business simulation course and a plaque of recognition.

How to participate

Register by clicking the competition menu at www.theaibs.org and send your entries to theaibs@theaibs.org or hard copies to the Institute’s Secretariat at 1st Floor PC 1 Engineering Close, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. Please include your mobile phone numbers.

Think smart and think hard but don’t fail to turn in your great ideas before January 31, 2010 to be considered.

Go for it. Show off your ideas as we welcome an exciting  2010.
